Preview of upcoming Attractions

As usual, the Gustin family is staying very busy which is a lot of fun. But the next few weeks are especially crowded with activities (and blog posts!!)

Here is a preview of activities from our February planner:

-TODAY, Friday February 8th we will be going with friends to a Chinese Restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year and Tet. Tonight there will be lots of families that have adopted from China/Vietnam and should be fun for all.

This year is the year of the the rat/mouse.

-Saturday, February 9th-- We have been invited to a Tet Celebration at a Vietnamese Catholic church by Michael's co-worker, Kenny. The Gustin family is honored to receive this invitation and can't wait to celebrate Tet with Vietnamese families!!

-Monday, February 11th- Iyla's '9-month' check-up with Dr. C. We can't wait to see how much she has grown!! Plus, it will be nice to be FINISHED with vaccinations (for a while)!

-Thursday, February 14th--- VALENTINE's DAY!! Iyla's first Valentine's day!!

-Monday, February 18th-- Iyla's first 'Mom and me' swim class at the YMCA. The classes take place each Monday over seven weeks and last about an hour. We are signing up with friends-- Leslie and Leigha and are looking forward to splashing around in the pool.

-Saturday, February 23rd-28th-- We leave for our first real 'family' vacation!!! We are going to FLORIDA and are thrilled to be able to have a break from the cold for a few days! This will be Iyla's first (and certainly NOT the last!!) trip to the beach and how great will it be to see her playing in the sand?!
